Traffic News Trial Service |

MediaCorp Technologies is conducting a Traffic News Trial Service on MediaCorp Radio's Digital Radio service.
Based on text-to-speech technology, the fully automated Traffic News system converts traffic reports, in text format, to speech and allows users to listen to updated traffic information on Digital Radio. This is a 6-month trial which will end in July 2008.

World’s First Hybrid DAB+ and Internet Radio Launched
|

Frontier Silicon has teamed up with REVO to deliver the world’s first radio to combine DAB/DAB+ and Internet radio. Called the Blik Radiostation and containing Frontier Silicon’s Venice 6 multistandard module, it is also the first digital radio on the market to provide plug-and-play reception of both DAB and DAB+ broadcasts.
Venice 6 is the world’s first digital receiver module capable of receiving Internet radio via Wi-Fi, DAB/DAB+, FM and music streamed from a network server. Based around Frontier Silicon’s powerful Chorus 2i processor, it streams radio stations and music files in a variety of formats.
